SCOPE Research Association Publishes Policy Proposals
— Deregulation needed to allow the spread of smart housing development packages —

June 15, 2012

 The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Head office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Junsuke Fujii), with the aim of promoting new business models for the creation of next-generation housing developments equipped with next-generation energy management functions, etc., in October 2011 established the SCOPE (Social Cooperation for Promoting Eco-Town) Research Association, as a forum in which to bring together the views of related industries and local government bodies. The Association has discussed business models for housing development packages based on coordination between smart houses, together with policy measures required to support their realization, and is now publishing the results of its discussions in the form of policy proposals.
 The Association is also publishing strategies for liberalization and business creation in the energy market.
