JRI to Set up “Emergency Hotline for Construction Industry”
- on commission from Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, FY2009 -

1. Outline

The Japan Research Institute is ready to set up "Emergency Hotline for Construction Industry" in order to offer prompt advices on the heightened and complex concerns of construction companies. This has been undertaken as a part of "Construction Industry Emergency BusinessAdvisory Project" which has been commissioned by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. This project was intended in the context of the economic circumstances, which remain hostile to local construction industry. Besides, construction is an essential industry sector in regional economies. Hence it has become a more important policy issue to sophisticate business management expertise in construction industry in terms of revitalizing regional communities and maintaining local employment.

2. Subjects of “Hotline”

We are ready to provide advises on;

Strategy Planning, including
· management rationalization
· finance
· profitability improvement
Avoidance chain-reaction bankruptcy
Conversion/Diversification of business, etc.
* (note) This service will only cover advices on business issues. Any practical supports, such as applications for loans or production of judicial/administrative documents, etc., are not included in this service. The Japan Research Institute may not sure feasibility, availability, utility or consequences of the advices that would be provided via this service.
